Mind & SatChitAnanda - An Amateurish Analysis

Its funny but true. We get lost in our own thoughts. Where do thoughts come from. Where do thoughts go. What happens to my wife in my dream and the monsters that try to kill me. Where do they go. Are they in Earth or in some other galaxy. During my dream am I awake or am I asleep.

Funny but true. If my dreams are not real then why am I hungry and how can my hunger satiate on eating something in my dream? But I wake up hungry?

We just don't want to answer these questions as we think we are mature and we know that the dream is not real. Fact is the mind is just playing on as it is doing what it does best. Work! Problem is we don't realize that this mind is a tool. We allow it to be carried away into its simulations be it enjoyable or sorrowful. We allow the mind to trick us!! Which means when we want to simply bring back our attention to something else we simply cut what we are thinking and replace it with some other thought like what is running on TV. But the mind itself is a wonderful three dimensional portal ( to be a bit futuristic) that it simulates whatever we want be it quality time with family or success in life on even your pre-school crush whether you had or did not have one.

So .... mind needs to be controlled as it is a tool like you remote control .. you need to focus it on something for it to perform well. Life and happiness depends on that.

What is most important is how you want to accept reality.

As you grow older you always want to be self assertive. It is natural.. when you're younger the things that matter to you most can be easily changed as your responsibilities are lesser. When you grow more responsible you're one decision could alter so many things. It becomes like the domino effect. When you're young the domino is small and hence can be controlled. When you're more responsible the number of things that are tied to you are longer so it is more difficult. THIS DOMINO IS NOT ATTACHMENT. Family work society etc is NOT attachment. It is only your thought that drives you to think so as the mind starts simulating this domino effect. So if you are cornered or threatened it is natural that we want peace. Problem is when we want peace we need silence. When you do get silence what we fail to do is control the mind from thinking. So the mind goes on babbling continuously and this is noise. So even when you're alone the mental creations of your problems tend to keep running like inertia. Imagine a cycle that you are pedaling and at some point you stop pedaling and due to inertia it moves on. Similarly is the mind. It does not just stop.Even if you get silent externally the mind goes on rotating from one point to other. When you pedal the cycle it picks up momentum and goes still further. Similarly if you give attention to your mind when it is babbling (when you're alone and want silence) the momentum for thought is created and it keeps running. True silence is when you nail the physical movements, mental creations and intellectual memories to be silent, When you can control them completely you come to realize Consciousness as such which is Sat ( Existence) Chit (Consciousness ) and Ananda (Bliss) Sat Chit Ananda which is ones true nature.
